Hi!
I am George and I am the founder of A Groundhoppers Guide To The Pyramid, here is a little bit about me…

I am a 21 year old Sports Journalist from Surrey and I have been groundhopping for just over two and a half years. I mainly go to Non-League football but I am not fussy!
I am also love Cricket, and my whole life is basically either watching Football or playing Cricket…
I have created this site because I think the concept of Groundhopping is so fun, and having a space where we can see the weird and wonderful games that people attend would be really cool, so here it is!
This is a little Q&A to find out more about my history in Football:
WHO DO YOU SUPPORT?
I am an Arsenal fan, I have supported them for as long as I can remember, but I think the first season I supported them was their invincible campaign (surprise surprise). I also follow Ipswich Town, Chelmsford City and Woking.

HOW MANY GROUNDS HAVE YOU BEEN TO?
76! It’s not a bad number considering I’ve been doing it since 2018. I’ve only done 16 of the 92 as I mainly go to Non-League and I have been to half of the grounds in the National League South.

BEST GAME YOU’VE BEEN TO?
I will have to say Arsenal 4-1 Liverpool in 2015. The atmosphere was great (at the Emirates I know!) Arsenal played wonderfully and scored some wonderful goals, and I saw my friend on the way home who was a massive Liverpool fan…
FIRST GAME YOU EVER WENT TO?
Fulham 1-0 Middlesbrough, May 2006. This game was three days before Middlesbrough’s UEFA Cup Final appearance so they rested a lot of their players. But youngsters such as Lee Cattermole and Adam Johnson played, so it was fairly interesting! It was also Steve Mclaren’s last Premier League game in charge of Boro before taking the England job.
BEST GROUND YOU’VE BEEN TO?
San Siro, by far. I went earlier this year for the Milan derby and I was in absolute awe of everything about it. It really is a stunning football stadium.
